Mercer County releases 2026 fog seal map

The Mercer County Engineer’s Office has released its map showing county and township roads scheduled for fog seal work in 2026.

Fog sealing involves applying a thin layer of asphalt emulsion to help protect pavement and extend the life of the roadway.

The map uses orange to mark county fog seal projects, purple for township fog seal work and green for county strip fog projects. Work is planned on road segments throughout Mercer County.

County Engineer James A. Wiechart’s office notes that roads are listed at a 0.11 application rate unless a segment is specifically marked 0.09. The map does not provide dates for when the individual projects will begin.
