CELINA, OHIO: Celina Aluminum Precision Technology has received Honda’s Excellence in Quality and Delivery Award for the second consecutive year.

The North American award recognizes suppliers that consistently meet Honda’s standards for quality parts and on-time delivery. Out of nearly 700 Honda parts and materials suppliers, only 37 original-equipment suppliers received performance awards, with approximately 30 earning the Excellence in Quality and Delivery honor.

Mike Bertke, supplier quality, delivery and supply-chain lead for Honda Development and Manufacturing of America, presented the award to CAPT associates.

Bertke credited the entire CAPT team for developing and maintaining world-class manufacturing operations. Honda reported that CAPT experienced zero quality or delivery problems during most months over the past 3 years.

The recognition comes as automotive suppliers continue facing changing trade policies, environmental regulations, supply-chain instability and other industry challenges.

Honda officials said CAPT’s ability to adjust while maintaining quality and delivery standards demonstrated the company’s commitment to its customers and manufacturing partners.

CAPT, known as Celina Aluminum Precision Technology, was established in Celina in 1994 and manufactures aluminum automotive components for Honda.
