Coldwater Village Council approved the village’s 2027 tax budget and received updates on storm damage and ongoing road construction during its Monday night meeting.

Council held the first and final reading of Ordinance 1778, amending the village’s 2026 budget. Members also approved the proposed tax budget for 2027.

Village Administrator Jason Eyink reported that the July 3 storm damaged 3 utility poles along the north end of State Route 118. Several large trees were also lost in Memorial Park.

Eyink also reported that the Ohio Department of Transportation has started its portion of the State Route 118 improvement project. Paving work was underway this week, and village officials hope the work will be completed soon.

Council also scheduled a Safety Committee meeting for July 27 at 6:15 p.m.
