The Celina-Mercer County Chamber of Commerce is encouraging residents to take advantage of several community events taking place this weekend.

The I.C. Festival will be held Friday and Saturday in Celina. Activities will include an auction, lunch stands, a bake sale, the Prize Parade, games and free rides for children.

The Celina Farmers Market will also be open Saturday from 9 a.m. until noon at the Mercer County Fairgrounds. The market features locally grown, homemade and home-produced items, along with weekly activities for children.

Fort Recovery will host the St. Clair 5K Run/Walk on Saturday as part of the Mercer Health 5K Challenge. Registration begins at 7:15 a.m., with the race scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. The race course takes participants through historic Fort Recovery.

The Chamber also thanked the community for supporting the recent Taste of Celina. Officials reported a strong crowd and said the event provided valuable support for participating local restaurants.

Additional events later this month include the Celina Summer Concert Series performance by Ledfoot on July 26 and a Versiti Blood Center blood drive at Western & Southern Life on July 27.
