Several summer projects are moving forward at St. Henry Consolidated Local Schools as the district prepares for the 2026-27 school year.

Superintendent Adam Puthoff told the Board of Education that the north and west parking lots have been resealed and coated. Work on the district’s new track surface is also complete, although the track must remain unused during a two-week curing period before it is restriped later this month.

The new press box project being led by the St. Henry Athletic Boosters remains on schedule for completion in late July or early August.

Bus routes for the upcoming school year are expected to be emailed to families in early August. That will allow time for changes before the routes are presented for final approval at the board’s August 12 meeting.

The board also approved a 10-cent increase in school lunch prices, the district’s first increase since 2019. Lunches will cost $2.30 for students in kindergarten through eighth grade, $2.40 for high school students and $3.40 for adults.

Workbook fees will remain unchanged. Fees are $50 for kindergarten through fourth grade and $45 for fifth through eighth grade. High school fees depend on the courses taken, along with a $60 technology fee.

The district is still looking to fill several classified positions before the school year begins, including a morning bus aide, an instructional aide and cafeteria workers.

The next St. Henry Board of Education meeting is scheduled for August 12 at 5 p.m. in the High School Media Center.
