A nighttime photo taken by Marion, Indiana, resident Greg Poe has generated hundreds of comments online after many social media users claimed to see what appears to be a figure peeking from a nearby cornfield.

Poe said he had just arrived home from work Sunday evening and was outside when he noticed movement in the corn. He decided to take a photo with his iPhone 16 Pro Max because he said the camera often captures more detail than he can see with his own eyes at night.

After looking back at the image, Poe said he immediately noticed something that caught his attention.

"I re-looked at the picture and I'm like, 'Oh no, that's not normal,'" Poe said.

Poe said the image shared online has not been edited or altered and denied claims that it was created using artificial intelligence or Photoshop. He said he has not been contacted by law enforcement or paranormal organizations since posting the photo.

While the image has prompted numerous theories online, what appears in the photograph has not been independently verified. Poe said he hopes to return to the area to investigate what may have been captured.
