Celina City Council to Consider Zoning Changes and Fire Department Staffing
Celina City Council will meet in regular session Monday, July 13, at 7 p.m. in the council chambers at 225 North Main Street.
Council members are scheduled to hear a communication concerning the July 2027 budget and consider four ordinances during their second readings.
One ordinance would rezone property owned by Hair to Please LLC at 110 North Cherry Street from a general business district to a medium-density residential district.
Another proposal would rezone property owned by Cooper Hatchery Incorporated at 1800 Industrial Drive from light manufacturing and community shopping classifications to a manufacturing district.
Council will also consider changing the Celina Fire Department’s staffing structure by removing one battalion chief-paramedic position and adding an assistant fire chief position. A separate ordinance would establish the salary schedule for the proposed assistant fire chief position.
The agenda also includes committee reports, audience communications and administrative reports.
