A Van Wert man is being held without bond after being arraigned on eight felony drug charges in Van Wert County Common Pleas Court.
According to court records, 21-year-old Devin Couch of Van Wert entered not guilty pleas to trafficking in cocaine, possession of cocaine, aggravated trafficking in drugs, aggravated possession of drugs, trafficking in hashish, possession of hashish, trafficking in marijuana, and possession of marijuana.
The indictment also includes Major Drug Offender specifications, firearm specifications, and forfeiture specifications tied to the alleged offenses.
Couch was ordered held without bond. A further hearing is scheduled for Monday, July 13, 2026, at 3:00 p.m.
If convicted on all eight felony counts and ordered to serve the maximum consecutive prison terms, Couch could face up to 60 years in prison, plus any mandatory prison time tied to applicable firearm and Major Drug Offender specifications.
The charges are allegations, and Couch is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
