54-Year-Old Celina Woman Charged With Felony Assault
A 54-year-old Celina woman has been charged in Mercer County Common Pleas Court following an alleged incident involving a Celina Police officer.
According to court records, Lori Lecompte is charged with one count of assault, a fourth-degree felony. The complaint alleges the offense happened on or about July 5, 2026, and involved a peace officer performing official duties.
An affidavit filed with the complaint says Celina Police were dispatched to the 500 block of South Mill Street for a property damage accident. The affidavit says an officer later stopped Lecompte on South Mill Street near West Logan Street and described her as combative and argumentative, with slow and slurred speech.
The affidavit says Lecompte was arrested and transported to the Mercer County Detention Facility. While at the jail, she allegedly attempted to kick the officer in the waist area, missed, and struck the officer’s hand. The affidavit also states she refused a breath test.
The case was filed July 6 in Mercer County Common Pleas Court. A charge is only an allegation, and Lecompte is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
