False Alarm Reported At Coldwater Elementary School

Coldwater firefighters were called to Coldwater Elementary School Sunday evening for a reported fire alarm.

The call came in at 7:07 p.m. for 310 North 2nd Street in Coldwater. Dispatch information indicated a general fire alarm from the main panel.

Coldwater Fire Chief Dave Penno confirmed to WCSM that the incident was a false alarm.

Coldwater School Superintendent Doug Mader told WCSM the alarm was caused by a dirty smoke detector.

No fire was reported.
