American Flat Track Rider and AMA Assistant Track Racing Manager Dan Bromley Dies Following Lima Half-Mile Incident

LIMA, Ohio (June 27, 2026) — The American Motorcyclist Association American Motorcyclist Association is mourning the loss of Assistant Track Racing Manager and veteran flat track racer Dan Bromley, who passed away Saturday following an on-track incident during the American Flat Track Lima Half-Mile II in Lima, Ohio.

According to statements from AMA Pro Racing AMA Pro Racing, Bromley was involved in a racing incident during competition on Saturday, June 27. He later died as a result of his injuries.

Bromley was widely respected within the American Flat Track community and served both as an official and competitor. In addition to his role with the AMA, he was an accomplished racer, earning recognition for his skill, consistency, and dedication to the sport.

A third-generation flat track racer from Warrington, Pennsylvania, Bromley’s career highlights included an AFT Singles championship in 2018 and an AFT AdventureTrackers championship in 2025.

Officials described him as a passionate and respected figure both on and off the track.

“Dan carried that legacy with talent, humility, and a genuine love for the people around him,” said Gene Crouch, CEO of AMA Pro Racing. “He was a true champion in every sense of the word.”

The organization said Bromley’s presence in the paddock made a lasting impact on the sport and that his loss will be felt throughout the flat track racing community.
