Southwestern Auglaize County Chamber Highlights Summer Events, Golf Outings And Local Programs

Southwestern Auglaize County Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Sara Topp recently joined WCSM to share a look at upcoming events and activities in the Golden Triangle.

The next concert in the Southwestern Auglaize County Summer Concert Series is scheduled for July 12th, featuring Walt Schmitmeyer and the Moonlighters at 6:30 p.m. at the Crown Pavilion in New Bremen. The Nacho Pig food truck will also be available from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Those attending are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and enjoy the evening.

The New Bremen Historical Society will be open on the four Sundays of each month from May through September from 1 to 3 p.m. The Historical Society will also host an ice cream social on Sunday, September 13th from 1 to 3 p.m., featuring free ice cream and tours of the museum.

The Auglaize County Sheriff’s Office is also inviting the public to support the D.A.R.E. program through a charity golf outing on July 25th at Northmoor Golf Course. The event begins with an 8 a.m. shotgun start. The cost is $65 per person and includes green fees, cart rental and a meal. To register, call Northmoor at 419-394-4896.

The Southwestern Auglaize County Chamber of Commerce is also partnering with Collette and Moon City Travel for a chamber trip to Portugal from April 8th through the 17th, 2027. Anyone interested can contact the chamber for more information.

The Golden Triangle Golf Outing is scheduled for Friday, August 28th at Arrowhead Golf Course in Minster, with an 11 a.m. shotgun start. Registration is open at auglaize.org under the events tab. Topp says teams are filling up fast.

Plans are also underway for this year’s Christmas Tree Festival. Those interested in participating can begin preparing their tree designs. Setup will take place from November 2nd through the 20th, with more details to come on the Christmas tree lighting.

Topp also reminded the community that chamber gift certificates make great gift ideas and help keep money in the local economy. Gift certificates can be purchased at the chamber office in the Lockkeeper’s House or at any Minster Bank location in Southwestern Auglaize County.

Topp closed by encouraging residents to continue supporting local businesses, schools, service clubs and communities.
