Taste Of Celina Block Party Returns July 10th
The annual Taste of Celina Block Party will return to downtown Celina on Friday, July 10th, from 5 to 9 p.m.
Celina Mercer County Chamber of Commerce Director Stacy Beougher says the event has become one of the community’s favorite summer traditions, giving residents and visitors a chance to enjoy food, entertainment, family activities, and time together downtown.
A portion of Main Street will be closed for the event, with local restaurants offering food samples throughout the evening. Food tickets are $1 each and can be purchased in advance at the Chamber office or the night of the event. Restaurants are asked to keep their samples between 1 and 5 tickets.
This year’s lineup includes several returning favorites, along with some new additions. Restaurants expected to take part include Speakeasy Steak and Ale House, Shandy’s, 202 Tavern, The Anchor, Brew Nation, C-Town, Marco’s Pizza, Plaza Lanes, McDonald’s, Celina Manor Cafe, and The Sub Shack.
Beougher says the event is a great opportunity for people to try food from several local restaurants in one place, including wings, wraps, subs, pizza, desserts, and more.
The evening will also include a Kids Zone sponsored by Grand Lake United Methodist Church, featuring inflatables and miniature golf. Live music will be provided by Greg Klink.
Another new feature this year is the Duck Drop, which will take place at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $20 each, with only 1,000 tickets being sold. The winning duck could bring home $10,000. Proceeds from the Duck Drop will help support Chamber scholarships for local students entering college, trade school, or the workforce.
Presale food tickets and Duck Drop tickets are available at the Celina Mercer County Chamber of Commerce office at 121 East Logan Street. Food tickets will also be available during the event.
The Taste of Celina Block Party is made possible through the support of local sponsors, including major sponsors Dynamic Federal Credit Union and Arm Corp.
