Relay For America Expected To Pass Through Fort Recovery Area

Relay For America is expected to pass through the Fort Recovery area next week as part of a coast-to-coast flag relay honoring American veterans and celebrating the nation’s 250th birthday.

The relay began June 14th in the San Francisco area and is scheduled to arrive in Washington, D.C. on July 4th. Organizers say one flag is being carried nonstop for more than 3,000 miles, crossing 15 states over 20 days.

According to the Relay For America route, the relay is expected to reach the Indiana-Ohio line on Day 16 of the journey. Based on the live schedule, the flag is expected to pass through the Fort Recovery area on Tuesday, June 30th, likely around early afternoon.

Organizers note that all times are estimates and may vary depending on weather, road conditions and other factors.

The relay is part of the America 250 celebration and is designed to honor veterans, with each mile run in the name of a veteran.
