New Bremen Council Approves Zoning Change, Insurance Renewal And Reviews Pipeline Easement

New Bremen Village Council held a short meeting Monday night, with council taking action on several items.

Mayor Bob Parker said council gave third reading to an ordinance amending the village zoning map for lots along Walnut and Plum streets. The change moves those lots from R-1 to R-2 zoning.

Council also gave third reading to a resolution dealing with the village’s property and equipment insurance renewal for the next year.

Under new business, council heard first reading of an ordinance involving a pipeline easement with Vectren Energy Delivery. Parker said the easement would allow a gas line to be run underneath the canal as part of continued improvements in the village along Front Street.

No other major business was reported from the meeting.
