Celina Mercer County Chamber of Commerce Director Stacy Beougher is highlighting several upcoming events and community opportunities in the Celina and Mercer County area.

The Celina Farmers Market continues every Saturday from 9 AM to noon at the Mercer County Fairgrounds. The market features locally homegrown, homemade and home-produced products, along with weekly activities for kids. This Saturday, the Celina Garden Club will provide the children’s activity.

The Celina Summer Concert Series will continue Sunday, June 28th, at the Big Red Tent with Atta Boy. The band will perform pop favorites with an energetic and crowd-pleasing show. The Mercer County Marksman 4-H Club will serve food before the concert. Free-will donations will be accepted. In the event of inclement weather, the concert will be canceled.

The Mercer Health 5K Challenge also continues this weekend with the Country Fest 5K in Maria Stein on Saturday, June 27th. Registration begins at 7:30 AM, with the race set for 9 AM. The chip-timed event starts and finishes on the Country Fest grounds. More information is available at mercerhealth5kchallenge.com.

Beougher also reminded residents to save the date for the annual Taste of Celina Block Party on Friday, July 10th, in downtown Celina. The event will feature food samples from area restaurants, entertainment by local musician Greg Klink, a kids zone provided by Grand Lake United Methodist Church and the new Duck Drop Raffle.

Duck Drop tickets are available at the chamber for $20 each, with a chance to win up to $10,000. Proceeds benefit youth initiatives and scholarships for local Mercer County students. For more information, stop by the chamber office or call 419-586-2219.
