No Injuries Reported In Philothea Road Structure Fire

No injuries were reported following an early morning structure fire on Philothea Road.

John Kaffenberger with the Southwest Mercer County Fire Department said crews were called to the fire just after 3 AM.

When firefighters arrived, the structure was fully involved. Kaffenberger said the building was approximately 84 feet wide and 180 feet long.

Mutual aid was called in from St. Henry, Coldwater, Montezuma and Burkettsville. Crews were also assisted at the scene by the St. Henry Squad and MSERV with traffic control.

Kaffenberger said the building was a total loss.

The cause of the fire remains undetermined at this time, and no foul play is suspected.

Crews returned to the station around 7:30 AM.
