Celina Council To Consider Bryson Park Lease, Zoning Changes And Fire Department Staffing

Celina City Council will hold its regular meeting Monday, June 22nd, at 7 PM in council chambers at 225 North Main Street.

The agenda includes a liquor license transfer from Celina’s Country Music Authority LLC, doing business as Boots N Bourbon, to Showtime Sports Bar Grill LLC.

Under new business, council is scheduled to consider an ordinance authorizing a lease agreement between the City of Celina and Aura Align for the lease of the Bryson Park District. The ordinance is being presented as an emergency.

Council will also consider two zoning changes. One ordinance would change the zoning classification for property owned by Hair to Please LLC, in care of Lisa Eckert, at 110 North Cherry Street, from B-1 General Business District to R-2 Medium Density District.

Another ordinance would change the zoning classification for property owned by Cooper Hatchery Incorporated at 1800 Industrial Drive from M-2 Light Manufacturing District and B-3 Community Shopping District to M-1 Manufacturing District.

Council is also scheduled to consider legislation connected to fire department staffing. One ordinance would remove one Battalion Chief/Paramedic position and add one Assistant Fire Chief position. A second ordinance would establish a salary schedule for the Assistant Fire Chief position.

The agenda also includes committee reports, communications, audience communications and administrative reports.
