Celina Mercer County Chamber Highlights Farmers Market, Summer Concert, Taste Of Celina And More

Celina Mercer County Chamber of Commerce Director Stacy Beougher is highlighting several upcoming events and community opportunities across the area.

The Celina Farmers Market continues every Saturday at the Mercer County Fairgrounds. The market features locally homegrown, homemade and home-produced products, along with weekly activities for kids. The market runs Saturdays from 9 AM to noon and is available throughout the year.

The Celina Summer Concert Series continues this Sunday, June 14th, at the amphitheater on Lakeshore Drive. This week’s concert will feature the Eli Burgett Band, which brings together traditional country roots with a rock and roll edge. The concert begins at 6:30 PM. The Mercer County Marksman 4-H Club will be serving food before the concert. Free-will donations will be accepted. In the event of inclement weather, the concert will be canceled.

The Mercer Health 5K Challenge is also preparing for another summer running series. The first race is set for Saturday, June 20th. Those interested can pre-register for all races by June 20th to save on the race bundle. More information is available at mercerhealth5kchallenge.com.

Mercer Health Urgent Care has also extended its hours. Beginning June 1st, Urgent Care is now open every day from 8 AM to 8 PM. Walk-ins are accepted, and appointments can be made through MyChart or by calling 419-586-1611. Mercer Health Urgent Care is located at 950 South Main Street in Celina.

Wright State University Lake Campus will host its annual wine festival this Friday, June 12th, from 4 to 8 PM at the campus. Tickets are $35 and include 12 tastings, a sampling glass, giveaways and more.

Grand Lake Health will host Babysitting 101 training on June 23rd and June 30th from 1 to 4 PM. The class is open to students in 5th through 7th grades. Registration is $15. The course includes instruction on caring for children, emergency care, first aid, safety and discipline. To register, call 419-394-6132.

The annual Taste of Celina Block Party will be held Friday, July 10th, in downtown Celina. The evening will include samples from area restaurants, entertainment from local musician Greg Klink, a kid zone provided by Grand Lake United Methodist Church and the new Duck Drop Raffle.

Duck Drop tickets are available at the chamber for $20 each, with a chance to win $10,000. Proceeds from the raffle will benefit youth initiatives and scholarships. For more information, stop by the chamber office or call 419-586-2219.

The MAV Youth Mentoring Bubble Run 5K is also scheduled for August 8th at Wright State Lake Campus. The event will include a 5K run and walk, along with a free kids run. For more information, contact MAV Youth Mentoring at 419-584-2447.
