WAPAKONETA — A former St. Marys school bus driver was sentenced Thursday to more than 10 years in prison after pleading guilty to charges involving a minor student.
According to the Lima News, 51-year-old Hector Hernandez was sentenced in Auglaize County Common Pleas Court to a total of 10-and-a-half years in prison on charges of sexual battery and unlawful sexual conduct with a minor.
Prosecutors said the case involved a 15-year-old girl and incidents that occurred in October of 2025.
Hernandez will also be required to register as a Tier 3 sex offender for the rest of his life.
