Hollansburg Woman Injured In Rollover Crash In Darke County

A Hollansburg woman was injured Monday evening in a one vehicle rollover crash in Darke County.

According to the Darke County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded around 5:20 PM on May 18th to the area of Hollansburg Tampico Road and Mikesell Road. Hollansburg Fire, Liberty Township Fire and Tri Village Rescue also responded.

The preliminary investigation found that a gray Chevy Suburban, driven by 48 year old Heather Combs of Hollansburg, was traveling northbound on Hollansburg Tampico Road when the vehicle went off the right side of the road, struck a utility pole, rolled twice and came to rest on its side.

Authorities say the vehicle then caught fire. Due to her injuries, Combs was unable to get out of the vehicle on her own.

Two nearby residents who live across from the crash scene pulled Combs from the vehicle.

Combs was transported to Wayne HealthCare for treatment of her injuries. CareFlight was requested, but could not respond due to weather conditions.

The crash remains under investigation.
