Celina Mercer County Chamber Highlights Farmers Market, Local Events And Upcoming Closures
Celina Mercer County Chamber of Commerce Director Stacy Beougher says several local events are coming up as the summer season begins.
Beougher says the Celina Farmers Market has opened its outdoor season. The market will feature weekly activities for kids, along with local vendors. The Celina Farmers Market is held Saturdays from 9 AM to noon.
The Little Locals Big Fun Carnival will be held Saturday, May 30th, from 11 AM to 1 PM at Lakeshore Park. The event is powered by the Little Locals Community Impact Initiative and will include games, food stands, music, bounce houses, face painting and more. Admission is a $5 donation per child, with proceeds benefiting MAV Youth Mentoring.
The Mercer Health 5K Challenge summer running series will also begin in June. Pre registration by June 20th can help participants save on the race bundle. More information is available at mercerhealth5kchallenge.com.
Grand Lake Health will host its Kids Health Fair and Fun Day on Saturday, June 13th, from 9 AM to noon at the Auglaize County Fairgrounds Commercial Building. The event will include games, class offerings, pony rides, health screenings and other activities.
Grand Lake Health is also hosting Babysitting 101 training on June 23rd and June 30th from 1 to 4 PM. The class is open to students in fifth through seventh grade and costs $15. The course includes instruction on caring for children, emergency care, first aid, safety and discipline. Registration is available by calling 419-394-6132.
MAV Youth Mentoring will hold its Bubble Run 5K on August 8th at Wright State Lake Campus. The event will include a 5K run and walk, along with a free kids fun run. For more information, contact MAV Youth Mentoring at 419-584-2447.
Beougher also says the Chamber office will be closed Friday, May 22nd, for the annual Chamber Golf Outing, and Monday, May 25th, in observance of Memorial Day. Normal business hours will resume Tuesday.
