Coldwater Council Reviews Cybersecurity Program And Second Street Project

Coldwater Village Council heard updates on several village matters during its latest meeting.

Village Manager Jason Eyink said council held the first reading of Ordinance 1776, which would accept a replat of lots 1839 and 1840 in the Wenning Acres Seventh Addition.

Council also held the first reading of Ordinance 1777, which would adopt a cybersecurity program for the village. Eyink said the state is requiring the program to be in place by July 1st.

Council also received an update on the Second Street project. Road construction continues to move south toward the corporation limits, and the village is hoping the asphalt company can begin placing the base coat of asphalt by Friday.

Coldwater’s community cleanup is scheduled for this week on Thursday, Friday and Saturday at the North Street Drive drop off site.

Eyink also said the village pool has been painted and crews have started filling it with water. The pool is scheduled to open May 25th, weather permitting.

The next Coldwater Village Council meeting was originally scheduled for Memorial Day, May 25th, but has been moved to Tuesday, May 26th at 7 p.m.
