The Marion Local Board of Education handled several personnel, financial, and end of year items during its latest meeting.
The board accepted multiple resignations and approved several new hires, along with extended day contracts, summer school tutoring staff, summer help, and a family medical leave request.
Board members also approved the classified salary schedule for next school year, a high school band field trip to Kings Island, and several summer athletic camps.
The board accepted donations for the drama club, track program, and athletic program.
Administrators also reviewed recent technology purchases, the success of prom, Teacher Appreciation Week, and student recognition from the Mercer County Bar Association Law Day essay contest.
The treasurer updated the board on a transfer of funds from the general fund to the Capital Improvement Fund.
Superintendent Mike Pohlman also discussed graduation, set for Sunday at 1 p.m., and the schedule for the final two days of school.
The next regular meeting is scheduled for Monday, June 8th at 7 p.m.
