Coldwater Village Manager Jason Eyink says council held the second reading of Ordinance 1765, which sets new rules for the operation of village parks.

Council also approved bids for the 2026 2nd Street reconstruction project. Tom’s Construction submitted the low bid at $1,074,714. The village received a $500,000 grant and a 0% interest $500,000 loan to help fund the work, with the general fund covering the remainder.

Eyink added that Mercer County has approved the annexation of 30 acres purchased by the village earlier this year.
