Steve was a graduate of Marion Local High School, an avid lifelong Flyer fan. He was a faithful member of the Church of the Holy Redeemer in New Bremen. He worked at the Minster Machine Company for 44 years in the assembly department and was a member of their 25 Year Club. He was a diehard Cleveland Browns fan and loved to share banter with anyone willing to talk football. His love of old Country Western music filled many of his days, and in his younger years he enjoyed bowling with his friends. He will be remembered as a quiet yet social guy, always well dressed and proud of the meticulous care he gave to his yard. A savvy Euchre player, he rarely passed up the chance to sit down for a good game of cards. Steve adored his grandchildren, and enjoyed spending time with them, and attending their various activities.
