Amy R. Bruns, age 48,

Of New Bremen, died on Friday, August 8, 2025 at 4:00 A.M. in Hospice Care at Joint Twp. Dist. Mem. Hospital, St. Marys, OH. She was born on June 13, 1977 in Sidney, OH. She was the daughter of Robert and Patricia (Helman) Freund who survive in Sidney. On August 4, 2018 at Myrtle Beach, SC, she married Joel M. Bruns who survives in New Bremen. Also surviving is her daughter Kaylee Freund of New Bremen, her sister Julie Freund of Denver, CO., her mother-in-law Pat Bruns of New Knoxville, and in laws; Amy and Ross Brown of Wapakoneta, Todd and Karen Bruns of St. Marys, Kim and Jason Wehnes of New Knoxville and a number of nieces and nephews. Preceding Amy in death was her father-in-law, Ken Bruns.

Amy served with the Medical Support Squadron in the United States Air Force for 4 years. She had previously worked at Komyo America Co./American Honda of Troy, OH., but she found true fulfillment in volunteering to feed and putting together care packages and gift baskets of personal items for those in need around the area. Amy enjoyed watching and supporting her daughter Kaylee and her teammates on the volleyball court. She enjoyed crafting and going on adventures with her family and friends.

Private services will be held with inurnment taking place in the German Protestant Cemetery of New Bremen with Pastor Bob Sweeney officiating. In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Little Pink Houses of Hope at littlepink.org or to the Cancer Association of Auglaize Co., at 506 Jackson St., St. Marys, OH 45885.
