Veronica Ann “Ronnie” Gehle


Veronica Ann “Ronnie” Gehle, age 79 of Celina, Ohio passed away on Monday, June 30, 2025 at the Gardens at Celina. She was born the daughter of the late Charles and Christina (Nischke) Grych in Manitowoc, Wisconsin on January 2, 1946.

On June 5, 1974 she married Larry Lee Gehle, the love of her life for fifty-one years, who died on February 25, 2025. After four short months apart, they are now reunited. Larry and Ronnie made homes in Ohio, Wisconsin and South Carolina. They traveled extensively across the United States and many other countries.

She is survived by her loving children; Christy (Sten) Tjaden of Arcada, CA, Terese Carson of Greenwood, IN, Andrew (Connie) Gehle of Columbus, six grandchildren; Anja Tjaden of Philadelphia, PA, Alexandrea (DJ) Coffey of Greenwood, IN, Katherine (Ethan) Buckles of Chicago, IL, Gracie Gehle of Columbus, Tucker Gehle of Colorado, Janie Gehle of Cincinnati, five great grandchildren, her sister and brother-in-law Mary (Jim) Klein and her two nephews Kevin and Jeff.

Veronica graduated from Lincoln High School in Manitowoc, Wisconsin, with the class of 1964 and then received her associates degree in Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin. She retired from Heritage Insurance Company as a supervisor after 29 years of service.

She was a member of the Celina Eagles Arie # 1291 and the Celina Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #1473.

Ronnie and Larry loved to travel in their motorhome and pull their boat. They would camp everywhere while on snow skiing adventures, fishing trips, deer hunting or golf outings. They loved to water ski off their boat. Everyone would remember her favorite holiday “Halloween” and the parties she and Larry would host. She enjoyed all kinds of crafts, especially knitting, cross stitching and you could always find her working on a puzzle. More than anything, Ronnie loved spending time with her family and friends.

A Celebration of Ronnie’s life will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, July 7, 2025 at the Lehman-Dzendzel Funeral Home in Celina, with Pastor Kevin Neuman officiating. A public visitation for family and friends will be held an hour before her celebration from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Monday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Gardens at Celina 1301 Myers Rd. Celina, Ohio 45822 in memory of Ronnie Gehle.
