For the month of February, Mercer County was tied with Holmes and Union Counties for the lowest rate of unemployment in Ohio with 3.9 percent. Medina County had the state's lowest rate at 3.6 Percent. Auglaize County's rate of unemployment was unchanged at 4.2 percent. Van Wert reported 4.9 percent and Darke County had 5.1 percent. The State of Ohio's rate of unemployment increased slightly to 4.8 percent. The United States rate of unemployment also slightly increased to 4.2 percent.
