Sidney man arrested after fleeing from police in Fort Recovery


From the Fort Recovery Police Department:

On 2/27/25, Central Dispatch contacted the Fort Recovery Police Department to advise that Sidney PD would like Fort Recovery PD to attempt to locate a 19-year-old male, Lyndon Brinkerhoff, on an active warrant out of Sydney PD. An officer with the St. Henry Police Department responded to assist and the male subject was located at his residence of 211 1⁄2 North Wayne Street, Fort Recovery, Ohio. The male was informed he was under arrest, pulled away from officers and fled on foot from the Officers, ignoring commands to stop. An additional Fort Recovery officer, along with Law Enforcement from Coldwater Police Department and the Mercer County Sheriff's Office all responded for a request for assistance in locating the subject.
Approximately 2 hours later, the male was seen on foot in the area of Fort Site Street and Butler Street and given multiple commands to stop by Law Enforcement which were ignored and he fled again.
On 02/28/2025, Lyndon Brinkerhoff was located at his residence after Law Enforcement was informed of his location. Law Enforcement from Fort Recovery, Coldwater Police Department and the Mercer County Sheriff's Office were able to apprehend him at this time. He was transported by Fort Recovery Police Department to the Mercer County Jail and incarcerated on 1 charge of resisting arrest and 2 charges of Obstructing Official Business.
Fort Recovery Police Department would like to thank all the officer, deputies and their respective departments for their assistance along with the citizens that were trying to provide information to various officers of the wanted persons location.
