31 year old Nathan Watkins of Celina was sentenced to up to 5 years of community control sanctions for a 5th degree felony of attempted strangulation and a misdemanor charge of domestic violence. Watkins previously pleaded to these charges as part of an agreement with proscecutors. Watkins had faced charges of strangulation and domestic violence. The original indictment accused Watkins of grabbing his girlfriend by the throat and slamming her against a wall and onto a couch. To view the original indictment:
