
Bonita Louise Buschur, age 74, of North Star passed away at Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater on Tuesday, February 18, 2025. She was born September 30, 1950, in Celina to the late Clarence “Pete” & Dorothy (Thien) Bomholt. On May 22, 1976, she married Patrick Buschur who survives in North Star. She is survived by children and their spouses: Ryan & Kelly Buschur of St. Henry, Molly & Wesley Bergman of Fort Recovery, Eric & Julie Buschur of St. Henry, and Andy & Kara Buschur of St. Henry;19 grandchildren: Paige, Ella, Jude & Sadie Buschur, Dylan, Trevor, Corbin & Kayla Bergman; Karlee, Rylie, Jack, Leah, Toby & Annie Buschur; Roland, Archie, Isla, Olive, Silas & Baby Buschur; siblings and in-laws: Byron "Bub" & Nancy Bomholt of St. Rose, Donna & Mike Furderer of Kettering, James &Marilyn Bomholt of St. Rose, Joe Davidson of Minster, Nicholas & Joy Buschur of Ft. Myers, Florida, Joseph & Rosie Buschur of Dayton, Laura & Stan Kollars of Lima, John & Margie Buschur of Cassella, Michael & Joan Buschur of North Star, Jennifer & Ronald Thieman of Burkettsville, Nancy& Steve Broering of St. Sebastian, Jacob & Linda Buschur of North Star, Paul & Brenda Buschur of San Luis Obispo, California, James & Krista Buschur of North Star, and Steve & Vicki Buschur of North Star. She was preceded in death by a sister, Tacie Davidson, brother, Randy Bomholt and in-laws, Robert & Rita (Meyer) Buschur. Bonnie was a proud graduate of Marion Local High School and earned her nursing degree from St.Rita's in Lima. Bonnie spent many years dedicated to her profession, caring for others with the compassion and skill that defined her character. After raising her four children, she worked at PBS Animal Health, where she greeted everyone with warmth and kindness. She was a faithful member of St. Louis Catholic Church and an active participant in the St. Louis Lady Sodality. Bonnie also served as a CCD teacher and volunteered at the Maria Stein Shrine. She devoted her life to her faith, her family and her community. Bonnie was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who will be deeply missed by all who knew her. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on February 22, 2025, at St. Louis Catholic Church in North Star. Burial will follow in St. Louis Cemetery. Friends may call from 3:00 PM to 7:00PM on Friday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, St. Henry and from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM on Saturday at St. Louis Catholic Church.
