From the Celina Police:

NEWS RELEASE 2/10/2025

On 02/08/25 at about 12:56 AM, Celina Police Officers responded to an address in the City of Celina in reference to an apparent drug over dose. During the course of the investigation a significant amount of suspected Fentanyl, Heroin and drug paraphernalia were seized. Officers also suspected drug trafficking. The (unnamed) person was treated at at a local hospital where they were later released.

A three-year-old child was also present at the time and was relocated with a family member with the assistance of Mercer County Job and Family Services while the investigation continues. Names and Location are being withheld at this time pending criminal charges.

This incident is under review for charges by Mercer County Prosecutor Erin Minor. The Celina P.D. thanks the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office, Mercer County Job and Family Services as well as Mercer County Prosecutor Erin Minor for all assistance.
