55 year old David Allen Bradford of Van Wert was sentenced on Thursday January 30th to 5 years of probation for a 4th degree felony charge of attempted gross sexual imposition involving a 6 year old child in July of 2024. In addition to the probation, Van Wert County Common Pleas Court Judge Martin Burchfield labeled Bradford a Tier II Sex Offender. Bradford will have to register his address with law enforcement for 25 years. The case was handled by special prosecutor Peter Seibel. Bradford waived his right to a Grand Jury and pleaded guilty. Court documents state the victim's parents concurred with the plea and the state's recommendation of no jail time.
