AUGLAIZE COUNTY, Ohio - Seven people, including a woman who is pregnant, were injured in a two-vehicle crash late Friday night in Auglaize County. It happened just before 11:30 at the intersection of State Route 196 and Fairmount Road in Wayne Township, about a mile north of the Village of Waynesfield.

According to OSP, the driver of a maroon Chevrolet Malibu traveling west on Fairmount Road ran a stop sign, causing a collision with a white Toyota 4-runner heading north on 196. Medics took five people from the 4-Runner and two from the Malibu to Lima Memorial Hospital suffering from multiple injuries; however, they're not believed to be life-threatening. The driver of the 4-Runner was not wearing a seatbelt and may have sustained the most serious injuries according to troopers. All the victims are from the Lima area, and their ages range from twenty to mid-thirties.

The intersection was blocked for about two hours. Fire and EMS crews from Wayne Township, Uniopolis, and Westminster responded to the crash, as did deputies from the Auglaize County Sheriff's Office. The crash remains under investigation by troopers from the Wapakoneta Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol; however, troopers said alcohol does not appear to be a factor.
