Grand Lake Health System welcomes first baby of 2025


NEWS YEARS BABY ARRIVES AT HOSPITAL

New Year’s Baby Arrives at Grand Lake Health ST. MARYS, OH – Alvin Joseph (A.J.) Head was the first baby born at Grand Lake Health System making his grand entrance at 7:47AM, weighing 8 pounds 3 ounces and measuring 19.5 inches long. Proud parents Clara and Austin Head of St. Marys are excited to welcome their son, who was joyfully greeted by sisters Kinsley and Riverlynn. His maternal grandparents are Garrett and Judy Hellwarth of Celina, and his paternal grandparents are Tom and Glenda Boomershine, also of Celina. The baby was delivered by Dr. Polly Train of Grand Lake OB/GYN. To celebrate this special moment, the newborn received a basket of gifts, diapers, and $100 check from the hospital, commemorating this historic New Year’s birth. Pictured: Baby Alvin Joseph (A.J.)
