33 year old Thurman Daniels of Van Wert was arrested Monday night on charges of felonious assault after a stabbing. According to the Van Wert Independent, a call came in at 10:40 pm from 321 South Race Street. It is alleged that Daniels with upset with his wife and his teenage step son and pulled a knife on them. According to the Van Wert Police, Daniels' wife used her hands to protect herself from getting stabbed and suffered superficial injuries to her right hand and face. Her son then grabbed another knife and stabbed Daniels in the back in an attempt to protect his mother. A report will be sent to the Van Wert County Prosecutor Eva Yarger consideration of additional charges.
