Charges against 60 year old Douglas Fickert of Celina have been dismissed. Fickert had been indicted by a Mercer County Grand Jury in February on 10 felony counts of Gross Sexual Imposition involving a child from October of 2022 to September of 2023. In official court documents, the charges were dismissed without prejudice due to the unknown whereabouts of the victim. The documents further stated that the statue of limitations has not expired and the sealing of the records in the case does not impede the State of Ohio from charging the defendant with these offenses in the future.
