2024 wapakoneta Post rrooper of the Year Selected
Wapakoneta - Ohio State Highway Patrol Trooper Zachary M. Deitering has been selected as the 2024
Trooper of the Year for the Wapakoneta Post.
Trooper Deitering,29,was selected in recognition of his outstanding service during 2024 atthe
Wapakoneta Post. Fellow employees chose Trooper Deitering based on his leadership abilities,
professional ethics, courteous treatment of others, enthusiastic work attitude, and cooperation with
supervisors, peers, and the public.
Trooper Deitering is now in contention for the District and State Trooper of the Year Award to be
announced later.
Trooper Deitering joined the Highway Patrol in2016 and has served at the Wapakoneta Patrol Post
Originally from Wapakoneta, Ohio, Trooper Deitering was a graduate of Wapakoneta High School.
Trooper Deitering has earned the Health and Physical Fitness Award, Safe Driving Award, and has
served as a Field Training Officer.
Trooper Deitering and his wife Rachael live in Wapakoneta, Ohio
