CINCI SCHOOLS SUPER
THE CINCINNATI PUBLIC SCHOOL DISTRICT HAS FORMALLY NAMED A LEADER
SHAUNA MURPHY, WHO HAS BEEN SERVING AS INTERIM SUPERINTENDENT SINCE MAY, WAS NAMED THE DISTRICT'S SUPERINTENDENT FOR THE NEXT TWO YEARS DURING A SURPRISE VOTE BY THE C-P-S BOARD OF EDUCATION ON MONDAY EVENING. THERE WAS NO MENTION OF THE VOTE INCLUDED IN THE BOARD’S AGENDA FOR THAT MEETING AND BOARD MEMBERS WERE SPLIT ON THE DECISION WITH A FOUR TO THREE VOTE. MURPHY MOST RECENTLY SERVED AS THE DISTRICT'S CHIEF OF STUDENT AND FAMILY SERVICES AND REPLACED FORMER SUPERINTENDENT IRANETTA WRIGHT, WHO RESIGNED AMID NO CONFIDENCE VOTES BY NUMEROUS UNIONS BACK IN THE SPRING.
