The State of Ohio has released unemployment figures for the month of September. Mercer County went from 2.9 to 3.1 percent. This tied with Wyandot and Lake Counties. The lowest rate of unemployment was 3 percent for Medina and Geauga. Auglaize County had 3.4 percent. Van Wert County reported 3.5 percent. The highest rate of unemployment across the state was 6.2 percent in Monroe County. Ohio's rate of unemployment for September was unchanged at 4.5 percent. The United States rate of unemployment for September was 4.1 percent.
