Celina Police make an arrest on a domestic violence incident involving a firearm

On September 27, 2024 at about 11:41PM Celina Police officers responded to a domestic violence call involving an assault and the discharge of a firearm. The female suspect reportedly fled the scene.

 

Through the investigation it was found that 39 year old Jeremy Moell was living at the residence with his two young children. Moell’s estranged wife, 39 year old Amber Marie Moell came to the residence and an argument ensued. He reports that she struck him and then retrieved the 9mm handgun, which was kept at that residence. She reportedly threatened him with the gun and then threatened to kill herself. Jeremy Moell tried to disarm Amber Moell. The gun discharged during the attempt. The bullet lodged in a wall. No one was injured and Amber Moell left the scene.

 

Amber Moell was located in Auglaize County and arrested. She is being held on Domestic Violence charges with further charges pending review by the Mercer County Prosecutor Erin Miner.
