At this week's meeting of the Fort Recovery village Council, it was learned that ground work has started on the Village's water tower project. Work is expected to start soon on digging and preparing for the tower's foundation. The contract for the work was awarded to a Louisville, Kentucky firm for $2.4 Million dollars. The village of Fort Recovery has a $1.25 million dollar state grant as well as 600,000 from the state's capital budget to help pay for the water tower. Also this week, the Fort Recovery Village Council approved a bid from Tom's Construction in St Henry for the Butler reconstruction project.
