Minster Board of Education Overview- August 13, 2024
The Minster Board of Education met for their monthly meeting Tuesday evening.
Donations
The Board accepted numerous donations from community groups and businesses for the
Football Team Golf Outing.

K-6 Principal’s Report
Elementary Principal Mrs. Mandy Albers provided the elementary report. She shared with the
Board that staff worked with the Mercer County ESC to meet state requirements regarding
Dyslexia and Science of Reading training. Mrs. Albers also shared enrollment information with
the Board.

District Maintenance, Facilities and Transportation Director Andy Roetgerman provided the
Board with an update on summer projects, including pipe relining at the High School, summer
cleaning, the ongoing bleacher project and work that was performed at Melcher Street Park. Mr.
Roetgerman also shared that all district buses passed state inspection.

Treasurer’s Report
Treasurer Gina Selby provided the Board with her monthly report. Mrs. Selby informed the
Board that on-site audit work will begin in September, provided the Board with income and real

Coordinator/Asst. Treasurer.

Superintendent’s Consent Agenda
During the Superintendent’s Consent portion of the agenda the Minster Board approved the 6th
grade trip to Camp Willson for September 19 and 20.
New Business
In New Business, the Minster Board of Education approved the following items:
- MOU with Key to Recovery Services for outside counseling services.
- MOU with Venture LINX for transportation to Project Search
- Appointed a delegate to the OSBA Capital Conference
Personnel Recommendations
The Board approved the following Personnel Recommendations:
● Accepted the substitute teacher list from the Auglaize County ESC.
● Approved Sara Osterholt as a long-term substitute for the first semester.
● Approved Edna Sanchez as a part time tutor.
● Offered Becky Dabbelt a limited 2 year contract as a bus route driver.
● Offered Gary Lange a limited 1 year contract for a maintenance position.
● Offered limited 1 year contract to Diane Dieters- Cook’s Helper
● Offered numerous limited 1 year contracts to substitute student healthcare aides,
substitute cook’s helpers, substitute aides, event managers and special bus route
drivers.
● Offered 1 year limited supplemental contracts to the following individuals:
○ Liz Hinker- HS Student Council
○ James Sharp- HS Asst. Boys Track
○ Valerie Gardner- Freshman Volleyball
○ Kenleigh Ludlow- Head Softball
○ Faye Barlage- Varsity Asst. Volleyball
● Approved the following athletic volunteers:
○ Madison Wiss and Lauren Dwenger- Cheerleading
○ Troy Kauffman, Adam Bergman and Derrick Meyer- JH Football
○ Joe Bornhorst- Golf.

The Minster Board of Education set their next monthly meeting for September 16 at 7 PM in the
Large Group Meeting Room.
Executive Session
The Board of Education entered into Executive Session to discuss the employment and
compensation of a public employee and the purchase or sale of property. There was no action
taken after the executive session.
