Celina man charged with felonious assault after allegedly trying to run over kids Monday Night


43 year old James Garman has been charged with a 2nd degree felony count of felonious assault after allegedly trying to run over several kids in the Bryson Park District. According to the Celina Police, A group of kids were at Bryson Park playing basketball on the basketball court. A male, driving a white full-sized van came into the park and drove up onto the court. He was looking for two boys that had gotten into a fight with his son earlier in the day. Those two boys had left the park. The male, later identified as Garman,  then got back into his van and drove at the kids, almost striking them. He then left the area. A witness who observed the incident followed the van after it left the park. The witness contacted the Celina Police Department and provided the license plate number for the van. Garman is being held in the Mercer County Jail on a $50,000 bond pending an appearance in court.To read the statement from the Celina Police:
