A Coldwater woman sustained serious injuries Wednesday Morning when her electric bicycle was struck from behind by an SUV. The accident occured just before 9 am when 60 year old Donna Hemmelgarn was riding her electric bicycle on State Route 118 near Carthagena Road when she was struck by 60 year old Linda Stout. Mercer County Chief Deputy Doug Timmerman explains what happened:

Hemmelgarn was airlifted to a Dayton Hospital for her injuries. This incident remains under investigation.
