State Patrol Releases Auglaize County Checkpoint Results
Wapakoneta-The results revealed 192 vehicles were checked driving through the OVI checkpoint conducted
by the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Auglaize County Sheriff's Office, and the Wapakoneta Police Department
on Friday, June 28, 2024, The checkpoint occurred on CR 25A north ofWapakoneta. There were two vehicles
diverted for further assessment ofthe driver. Ofthe diverted vehicles one driver was arrested for OVI.
The OVI checkpoints are funded by federal grant funds and are planned to deter and intercept impaired drivers.
The checkpoint was held in conjunction with nearby saturation patrols to combat impaired driver-related injury
and fatal crashes.
