The Board accepted the following donations:
● $5,879.08 from the Minster Academic Boosters to fund grant requests made by
teachers.

$120 from an anonymous donor to the Football Coaches account.

$1,000 from the Minster Civic Association for the Elementary Student Council.
$600 from Bruce Monnin- $500 to the football program and $100 to the Track program.
400 plus units of yogurt from Danone North America for Field Day.

K-6 Principal’s Report
Elementary Principal Mrs. Mandy Albers provided the elementary report. She shared with the
Board that Eli Monnier was the recipient of the 4th quarter Spirit Stick. The following elementary
students were recognized for the Humble and Kind award for the fourth quarter: Myles Hess,
Behr Thieman, Lucy Stueve, Harper Schmiesing, Maverick Prenger, Ben Schmitmeyer, Sloane
Barlage, Cameron Otting, Lynn Woehrmyer, Zachary Woehrmyer, Juliette Pinson, Isaac
Roetgerman, Jon Sextro, Nora Alexander, Bailey Steinke, Zander Miller, Audrey Hess, Henry
Bruns, Mason Ranly, and Clarie Hibner.
Mrs. Albers also provided the Board data from state testing that was completed in the spring,
changes to the elementary student handbook, the summer reading program and extended
school year services.

7-12 Principal’s Report
7-12 Principal Mr. Austin Kaylor shared the Jr/Sr High School update with the Board. Mr. Kaylor
congratulated the 69 members of the Minster HS class of 2024 that graduated on May 26.
Mr. Kaylor also provided a recap of the spring sports season, highlighted by the Wildcats
winning MAC championships in softball, baseball and girls track, along with the softball team
playing in the state final four in Akron.
Mr. Kaylor updated the Board on changes to the 7-12 student handbook, planning for next
school year’s Cat's Pride sessions and provided data to the Board on end of course exams that
were completed in the spring.

Curriculum and Instruction
Treasurer’s Report
Treasurer Gina Selby provided the Board with her monthly report. Mrs. Selby updated the Board
on risk insurance renewal through the Ohio School Plan, provided a budget performance
update, gave the Board the temporary appropriations for fiscal year 2025, provided the Board
with appropriation adjustments for fiscal year 2024 and temporarily advanced money to a
number of call centers.

Superintendent’s Consent Agenda
During the Superintendent’s Consent portion of the agenda the Minster Board approved K-6 and
7-12 student handbooks and the athletic handbook for the 2024-2025 school year and
commended spring sports coaches and athletes on their outstanding performances this spring.
New Business
In New Business, the Minster Board of Education approved the following items:
● A resolution declaring transportation to be impractical and to offer in lieu of transportation
the maximum payment amount approved by the Ohio Department of Education and
Workforce.
● Increased a purchase order to Southern Bleacher Company for $60,000 to modify the
back 2 rows of columns from 6’ to 10’.
● Set lunch prices for the 2024-2025 school year. High School- $2.75, Elementary - $2.50,
Milk- $0.60
Personnel Recommendations
The Board approved the following Personnel Recommendations:
● Accepted the resignation of Amanda Sudhoff, elementary art teacher, effective at the
end of the 2023/2024 school year.
● Accepted the resignation, for the purpose of retirement, of Dorothy Bruns, HS
Secretary/EMIS coordinator, effective May 31, 2025.
● Approved the following groundskeepers on an as needed basis:
○ Dennis Dahlinghaus
○ Greg Francis
○ Bob Poeppelman
○ Tom Roetgerman
○ Matthew Storch
● Accepted the resignation of Robb Hemmelgarn, head softball coach, for the purpose of
becoming the MAC commissioner.
● Offer limited 1 year supplemental contracts to:
○ James Sharp- Girls Bowling
○ Tonya Niemeyer- HS Cheerleading Advisor

The Minster Board of Education set their next monthly meeting for July 16 at 7 PM in the Large
Group Meeting Room.
Executive Session
The Board of Education entered into Executive Session to discuss the employment and
compensation of a public employee and the purchase or sale of property. There was no action
taken after the executive session.
