All 3 defendants in 2022 Auglaize County Murder case to be sentenced October 1st


All 3 defendants in the 2022 death of Timothy Hovanec in Auglaize County will be sentenced on October 1st. Hovanec's estranged wife Amanda pleaded guilty to charges of conspiracy to import a controlled substance, importation of a controlled substance, conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute of a controlled substance and distribution of a controlled substance that resulted in death in February. Hovanec's mother, Anita Green, pleaded guilty to a felony charge of being an accessory after the fact. Amanda Hovanec's boyfriend, Anthony Theodorou of South Africa, has pleased guilty to Conspiracy to Import a Controlled Substance, Importation of a Controlled Substance, Conspiracy to Possess with Intent to Distribute and Distribution of a Controlled Substance, and Distribution of a Controlled Substance.

According to a federal affidavit, Timothy Hovanec's dash cam caught video of Amanda injecting Timothy with a drug that was acquired from South Africa by mail. Anita Green then allegedly drove Amanda and Theodoru to a remote area to dispose of Timothy's body. Timothy's car was taken to Dayton but was found by the police.
