Celina City Council Meeting for May 13th

The Celina City Council met Monday Night May 13th. The evening opened with a discussion by the council as a whole about the possibility of allowing residents to have chickens and bees in city limits. Under legislation, The Council passed an ordinance allowing the city to enter into an agreement with the architectural firm of Mull and Weithman in Columbus to conduct a feasibility study for the Celina Hall and The Celina Fire Department. The Celina City Council also passed an ordinance to vacate a portion of right-of way easement on West Bank Road in city limits. The Celina City Council then passed legislation to accept a grant from the Ohio Law Enforcement body armor program for the purchase of body armor. In other business, the Celina City Council passed an ordinance to award the construction of the pickleball courts fence to Hess Fencing of Versailles at a cost of nearly $19,000.
